Business Process Management Conference 2014 event review

During the height of conference season, Enterprise Management 360° recently travelled to events across the UK capital London. One of which was Business Process Management Conference 2014, hosted by IRM UK, as EM360° editor David Tran compiles some highlights and recollects key moments from the event.

Event date: 16-18th June 2014

Event organiser: IRM UK

Location: Radisson Blu Portman Hotel

Initiating a business process strategy that was scalable and had scope for innovative practices became the talking point for the annual three-day BPM Summit.

Hosted by experienced organisers and IT strategic training company IRM UK, there was much for delegates to consider ‘process’ as the overarching element at the heart the enterprise’s IT framework, rather than headline grabbing concepts like big data or other IT infrastructure models like cloud computing.

Four session rooms were devised, and similar to a reputable music festival, delegates were forced into a difficult choice of choosing one analyst act over another prestigious one. From deciding over a Michael zur Muehlen session over Anwar Mirza, or Philips over Credit Suisse, there was certainly much to ponder.

Highlight: The three very insightful interviews EM360° did with Roger Burlton, Co-Founder of BPTrends Associates, and Business Process consultant and practitioner zur Muehlen from the Stevens Institute of Technology and Frits Wiegel of Philips, respectively.
