Ted is a Senior Research Analyst with Nemertes Research, where he conducts research, advises vendor and end-user clients, develops research reports and delivers strategic seminars.
A Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Ted leads Nemertes’ research on information stewardship, including compliance, risk management, business continuity/disaster recovery, e-discovery and data quality management. He is also one of Nemertes’ dedicated experts on cloud computing, virtualization, Internet infrastructure, efficient data centers and Green IT.
Ted is a frequent speaker at major technology events in the U.S. and abroad. His most recent appearances includ VMWorld and SYS-CON’s Cloud Computing Expo. He also serves as conference chairman of the Green IT expo at Eco-Build.
Ted draws upon 20 years of experience in information security and telecom technology. He has designed, implemented, and supported telecom and information-security solutions for commercial, federal, and international clients. He has built a cyber-security practice at a federal systems integrator; and as a senior network engineer, he has designed networks for federal agencies.
Ted also has extensive experience in sales, marketing and business development, allowing him to provide great insight to vendors about the issues they face in the competitive marketplace.
Ted holds a Masters of Science degree in telecommunications management from The George Washington University and Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from Oberlin College. He lives in Virginia and devotes some of his spare time to raising service dogs for physically disabled people, cooking, and beer brewery.
